Martha "Betty" Ellis Osterlund, 95 of Orlando, Florida went to be with her Lord March 18, 2014. Betty was born October 6, 1918 in Tucker, GA to Carl Jeffares and Lorris (Palmer) Jeffares. She moved to Orlando with her family in 1934. She is preceded in death by husband Eugene Ellis; husband Carl Osterlund; son Gene Osterlund; brothers Jack, Charles and Raymond Hendrix; sister Charlotte (Dick) Baggett. She is survived by sisters-in-law Ginny, Jean and Carolyn Hendrix and several nieces and nephews. Betty was employed in retail sales for 39 years, retiring from Montgomery Ward. She was a long time active member of Delaney Street Baptist Church until illness kept her away. She enjoyed volunteer work as a “Pink Lady” at ORMC for many years. Betty was the oldest sibling of five children and was very much loved and respected by her brothers and sister. She was a devoted and loving caregiver to her mother and both of her husbands. A memorial service will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on March 25, 2014. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to your favorite charity.
