

Mary Anna Griner Stines, 91, of Orlando, FL passed away at the home she shared with her son & best friend Ray and her loyal companion of 10 years Junebug on Monday morning March 28th, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Ruth Griner of Guyton, GA, 2 sisters, Jane and Louise. 3 brothers, Benjamin, William and Paul and her loving husband of 49 years James Luther Stines of Asheville, NC. Mary is survived by her 4 sons Raymond Bruce Stines of Orlando, FL., James Wesley Stines and wife Terri of Vale, N.C., Joseph Lawrence Walsh and wife Marge of Panama City, FL., John Thaddeus Walsh of Apopka, FL., brother Ted Griner and wife Mina of Cartersville, GA. Six grandchildren, Terra Stines Smith and husband Brad of Vale, N.C., Tristan Stines Blair and husband Brandon of Conway, S.C., Michael Stines of Vale, N.C., Dana Collins of Manning, S.C., Joseph Walsh and wife Ronnie of Panama City, FL., Joel Walsh of Apopka, FL., 10 great grandchildren, her loving niece Sarah Ruth Lawhorne and many other nieces and nephews. Mary was retired from the University of Central Florida and Christian Ministries of Lincolnton, NC. She will be forever missed by all of her friends and family. A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Windermere, 300 Main Street Windermere, Fl. on Thursday March 31st at 1:00pm and at Walnut Freewill Baptist Church, 10 South School Rd, Marshall, N.C. on Saturday April 9th with burial immediately following in the family cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Christian Ministries of Lincolnton, N.C., 207 S. Poplar St, Lincolnton, N.C. 28092 or The Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida, 204 N. Wymore Road, Winter Park, Fl. 32789 in honor of her late brother Paul Griner.
