

Mildred Rita Bivins, 91, of Orlando, passed into eternal life on Wednesday July 8th. Mrs. Bivins was a homemaker of eight children, 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Born in Owensboro, Kentucky, she married Joseph Lester Bivins in St. Paul's Catholic Church in Owensboro and began her life as a military wife being stationed in various bases across the United States. She engaged in active roles in her children's lives by volunteering in their schools. She moved to Central Florida in 1961 and volunteered at St. James Catholic Cathedral and School as a Eucharistic minister and substitute teacher.
Survivors: sons, Joseph Anthony, Thomas Lester, Michael Vincent, all of Orlando, James Richard, Winter Park; daughters, Rita Ann, Cloudcroft NM, Mary Elizabeth, Rochester MN, Theresa Marie, Orlando, Patricia Lou, Tavares; 13 grand-children and five great grand children.
A Celebration of Mildred's Life will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Gotha, FL
on Monday, July 13th, 2015 at 9:00am. The Bivins Family will begin greeting guests at 8:30.
