
Born in Albany, New York, she was the daughter of Abraham Kaplan and Ada Paul. She was employed by the County of Albany, as well as by the state of New York.
She was a member of the Congregation Beth Emeth of Orlando. She had a love for Albany, music, family, and art.
Mildred is survived by: children, Rabbi Alan and Jody Lefkowitz of Windsor, CT, Rabbi Robert and Deborah Lefkowitz of Orlando, FL, Linda and Jeff Dreiwitz of Waco, TX, and son in law Mendal Szlamowicz of Albany, NY; grandchildren, David and Jenn Szlamowicz of Halfmoon, NY, Lisa and Seth Knupp of Schenectady, NY, Sara Szlamowicz of Cohoes, NY, Joseph Dreiwitz of Galveston, TX, and Laura Dreiwitz of New York, NY; and great grandchildren, Amy Elizabeth Szlamowicz, Jacob Hersh Knupp, and Ella Victoria Knupp. She was predeceased in death by her husband, Nathan Lefkowitz, and daughter, Amy Szlamowicz.
A funeral service will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10:00am with burial to follow.
Memorial donations may be made to the Congregation Beth Emeth of Orlando or the Congregation Beth Ahm of Windsor.
