Mrs. Downey was born in San Antonio, Texas, on December 23, 1935, to Charles and Virginia (Jeffery) McDonald. Her family moved frequently before settling in Springfield, Ohio, where she graduated from Springfield High School in 1954. After graduating, they moved to Orlando, Florida, where she met and married her husband, Harvey L. Downey, on June 21, 1958.
Nadine worked as a paralegal assistant and office manager in the Orlando area until her retirement at age 68. Her husband preceded her in death in 2005.
She is survived by her children, Mark L. Downey (Tina), Suzanne D. Sparks (Robert); Grandchildren, Matthew Sparks (Stephanie), Bethany Rushton (Robert), Brittany DuBois (Jon), Jeffrey Downey, Nicholas Downey Sr. (Aileen); great-grandchildren, Jonah and McKenna DuBois, Leon and Ian Rushton, Nicholas Downey Jr., several nieces and nephews and many other family and friends to cherish her memory.
