Rhoads, Nancy Jane, 97, peacefully passed away on January 26, 2018 and was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Paul Rhoads in 2010. Born in Lebanon, Pennsylvania in 1920, her first job was with the Conestoga Telephone & Telegraph Company. She moved to Orlando with her family in 1958. After raising her children she returned to the workforce at Woodlawn Memorial Funeral Home, and Pine Hills Florist.
Daughter of Harry and Clara (Heisey) Bleistine, she is survived by her son Dean Paul Rhoads, daughter Robin Conrad (William), and grandson Ryan Conrad (Nicole).
Nancy loved gardening and relished making her home elegant and beautiful. She was a long-time member of both the Cathedral Church of St. Luke and Holy Family Episcopal Church. She appreciated spending time with her Laurel Hills neighbors until she moved to The Bridge at Orlando in 2010 where she enjoyed living for eight years.
Family will receive friends Saturday, February 3 at 9:00am and the service will be held immediately following at 9:30am, Saturday, February 3 at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 5873 N. Dean Road, Orlando, FL 32817.
