

Nicholas Michael Kemock, of Windermere, Florida, died of cancer on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. He was 85. Nick was born on November 19, 1940 in Spangler, Pennsylvania to the late Nick and Anna Kemock. In 1965 he married Yvonne Spirito, and together they had 3 children: Chris, Nicole, and Kara. Nick earned his undergraduate degree at John Carroll University and his juris doctorate at the Marshall School of Law. His law practice was located in Berea and then eventually Strongsville, Ohio. Nick spent much of his career as a teacher, first teaching math and then real estate law. He and his brother, Ludimere Kemock, founded a school for realtors and taught real estate classes together at Lorain Community College for over 25 years. Nick was an avid reader and “arguer” who was “more in love with the argument than any particular side.” He was a fan of polka music, pierogies, genealogy, and chess.
Nicholas is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Yvonne S. Kemock; granddaughter, Addison Sinclair; his siblings and siblings-in law, Dolores and James Hearns, Robert Kemock, and Rosalie and Richard Manning; and nephew David Manning. He is survived by his partner of 23 years, Joy Altman; his children, Chris (Thimi) Kemock, Nicole (Thomas Scott) Hackman, and Kara (Mark) Sinclair; grandchildren, Nicholas (Sarah) Castle, John Andrew Hackman, Cameron Kemock, McKeely Kemock, and William Sinclair; and brother Ludimere Kemock; sisters-in-law, Patricia Ulrich and Mary Kemock; and brother-in-law, Keith Ulrich.
