Norman J. Fowler, Jr., 92, a 53-year resident of Orlando, passed away on January 15, 2016 in the loving care of Cornerstone Hospice at Orlando Health. He was born on July 13, 1923 in Millville, New Jersey to his late parents Norman and Helen Fowler. He attended Hinds Junior College in Mississippi on a football scholarship. He enlisted into the Army Air Corps during World War II where he became a pilot. After the war, he finished college at West Chester State College and re-entered the Air Force where he flew airplanes and was a flight instructor He ended his career of 22 years in the Air Force as a B-52 pilot at McCoy Air Force Base. He began a new career at Lockhart Junior High School as coach and athletic director. After ten years, he retired again. He then was able to enjoy his favorite hobbies of golf, fishing, and woodworking. He was very much loved by his late wife Joy Cartland Fowler and his only surviving relative, his daughter Norma Joy.
