He went to Kingston Technical High school before working for the government of Jamaica in the Ministry of Finance. He served on the Farm Laborers Board, a position which he really enjoyed as it took him to different countries.
He was a handsome, dapper young man who caught many a lady’s eye, however he had eyes only for one, Claire Patricia, whom he married in 1948. They remained married until her death in 1994. He never remarried. The union bore four children.
Oscar moved to Orlando, Florida in 1995 where he resided near to his three surviving children. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church Orlando. He sustained a stroke in the latter years and his health declined over the last two. He is survived by a host of relatives and friends and will be missed.
