Partab Gupta Jairam

Partab Gupta Jairam, age 67, of Apopka, Florida, unexpectedly departed this world on June 14, 2022. He was born in Rose Hall Town, Corentyne, Guyana to Evelyne & the late Rudolph Jairam. He was the grandson of the late Shakey Hanuman (rice mill) and Setaram of Port Mourant. He attended Rose Hall Church of Scotland Elementary school and National High School. He immigrated to Chicago, IL in 1979. He worked for many years at S&C Electric as a CNC Machinist. In 2016, he and his family moved to Apopka, FL where he continued to work as a Machinist at Collins Manufacturing.

He built his legacy with his loving wife of 37 years, Sabita Jairam, daughter Natasha Kavita Jairam, MD, and son Anil Chand Jairam, Associate Manager of Integration and Test in the Space Industry.

He is survived by his mother Evelyn Jairam and eight Siblings: Maureen Rambaran (Barry), Yamonee Barboro (Rich), Kemchan Jairam (Serojini), Radha Jagnandan (Lomesh), Menand-Buddy Jairam (Annita), the late Nadia “Baby” Jairam, Dropattie Harricharan (Paul), and Vid Jairam (Shika). Gupta also has a host of nephews and nieces who all shared special times with their “Uncle Gupta.”

He loved spending time with his wife and two children, traveling, and visiting with family. He could not sit still for a moment, full of life and energy. His sanctuary is his garage with his tools. He found great joy in listening to old Indian and English music, watching space rocket launches, and lovingly annoying his wife. He was genuine, handy, hardworking, and dedicated to his family. His two children were his pride and joy; and their success was his top priority in his life. He was proud of his Caribbean heritage and strived to instill those values in his family. Gupta will always be remembered as a man of impeccable character and a pillar for family and friends.
