Peggy Sias Lantz, who died at the age of 92 on December 14, 2025, was a Renaissance woman, captivated with faith and child-like wonder by so many aspects of God’s earth and dedicated to sharing her knowledge with others. Her favorite roles were choir director, naturalist, and writer and editor (www.peggysiaslantz.com). She also was an accomplished leathercrafter, pianist, singer, horsewoman, and outdoor enthusiast (camping, canoeing, swimming, and birdwatching). She almost always had dogs, chickens, and horses throughout her adult life.
Don passed away in 2020 after 61 years of marriage and four children — Linda, Janet, Philip, and Carolyn — and five grandchildren, who all survive her. Peggy looked forward to being reunited with her husband, with whom she had “the best possible marriage.”
A Floridian through and through, Peggy passed away at home at her beloved Lake Lucy and after cremation will be buried beside Don under a live oak tree on the property.
Her six-word memoir: “My life has been a joy.”
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.at Oakland Presbyterian Church, 218 East Oakland Avenue, Oakland, Florida
