Dear Linda,
 I just learned of Rick's passing and wanted you to know we think of your family often with great baseball memories, your schnauzer Bizmark. ...And  all the laughter we shared.
 Andrew enjoyed coaching Rick Jr. And he and your husband Rick were special,caring, funny and always a joy to be with. 
We also lost our julie in 2004 to an illness, our  hearts  grieves for your tremendous loss.
We live in Estero Florida now and it would be wonderful to meet or talk with you sometime!

It has been a very difficult adjustment period since our dear friend of so many years has passed away.  Starting with our first encounter back in Spinnaker Cove(Palatine) in 1970 we knew that Rick and Linda were going to be friends, but never dreamed that fifty years later we would be the very best of friends and allowed to be 'family members.'  All the fantastic, fun and truly memorable times we shared will never be forgotten.  For years we have celebrate wedding anniversaries together.  Our image and memory of Rick is that fun loving, always willing to help and there to count on guy.  We are so very pleased that we are a  short drive away from Linda and will continue our dear friendship for years to come.

Rick you have given me a beautiful 50 years as your wife, some more challenging than others but none the less, good years. Your are one of the most generous people I have ever met. There isn't anyone you would not help. You fought hard for what you believed and struggled to the end with weaknesses that you could not overcome. You are now at peace with our son and I have my two angels in heaven watching over me. 
I have memories, stories, pictures and keepsakes. There are tears and smiles but most of all there is a love that will never die.

Deae Rick, the  memory of your wonderful and gentle soul will always remain in our hearts. We will  always keep a beautiful  memory of you and of the moments spent together. Unfortunately, there have been few, and we hoped there could be others, but fate has not allowed us to. Let us pray that you may rest in peace, next to your beloved son Rick jr. The Lord wanted to reconnect you beyond human existence. We all pray that Linda, supported by her strong faith in God and by  the Love of her family affections and friends, may accept this painful loss.

I grew up next door to Linda, and I remember meeting Rick for the first time when I was in high school.  He was this tall, handsome guy with a great sense of humor.  I knew  immediately that Linda had found someone special.   My sincere sympathy goes out to Linda, who has had a rough couple of years to say the least.  I pray that Rick is now resting peacefully with his son, and that they are both looking out for you and your beautiful granddaughters.

In the hospital where I work there is a saying on the wall, "Rather than mourn the absence of the flame, let us remember how brightly it burned."   I hope this gives you some comfort, Linda.

There isn’t one special memory, but many! As a family, we 
have shared many. Rick Sr. was a huge part in making us a very close knit family. We always had fun together, whether it was at family functions, events, weddings. 

I’m going to miss you dearly, but I know your with Lord, having fun with the rest of the family and that all of you are now with GOD.

Maybe your golf game will improve! HAAAAA. I recall you were a very good bowler however!

Rick was a caring & loving brother.  He was there for me when I needed him.  Rick was the reason I moved down to FL & I am 
  happy that he asked me to come down & work for AGS.  I will miss
him terribly, but I know that he is with his son, Rick, Jr.
