

Hospice in Stuart, Florida, on Feb. 17, 2017. Heaven gained a beautiful soul, and he will be greatly
missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert R. Walters and Isabella Brown, infant brother,
and his first wife, Jacquelyn Brevard, mother of his four children. Survived by wife, Reatha Dean and his
3 sons: Robert R. Walters, James (Pamela) Walters, David (Angela) Walters and daughter, Cheryl
(Anthony) Prochot. Also, his 3 step-sons: Michael McDermott, Marty (Debbie) McDermott, Mathew
McDermott, 9 grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren, and countless dear friends.
Mr. Walters served his country faithfully in the Marine Corp. A graduate of Wooster College, he was a
successful business man with Allstate Insurance and retired as a claims manager with his own franchise
in 1993. An avid golfer and sports enthusiast, he was also a lover of life and people. His family was
priority with him and his friends sought his advice on many topics. Richard will be dearly missed and
forever loved. A service and burial will occur at Woodlawn Funeral home in Gotha on Wednesday, Feb.
