I first met Chuck back in 1980 when we were both young and just starting out in our careers in the plant industry. I was his sales rep at Costa nursery and the minute we rode together in the golf cart I new I had found a new friend for life. Over the years Chuck became a mentor, a confidant, a traveling companion, a customer but most of all a very generous lovable friend. Like for many others Chuck was my go to guy. He always made the time to listen and give you advice from his heart that when you finished the conversation with him you new exactly what to do. But the most cherished times my wife and I had with the Romagnolis were the family times we spent together with our children and his. Both Susan and Chuck opened their hearts to us and whenever you were with them and the kids you felt like you belonged nowhere else but with them. When the big guy walked in the room and he hit you with that big smile you were immediately reminded of what a gentle soul that he was. Susan,Michael,Robbie, Jimmy and Christina you already know that Chucks legacy is the permanent mark he has left on everyone's heart who new him. Hold,embrace and console each other during this time and continue to walk in his footsteps. Our guardian angels now have Chuck to help guide us through our daily lives until we once again meet. Rest my friend.

The Cannata Family

Chuck was an amazing father and role model. He always made sure I felt welcomed at his home. The first time I came over to their house in Windemere, I have never seen more New York Jets memorabilia in one room. I truly admired his incredible passion and collection of sports items. He did an amazing job raising his children, and both Jimmy and Robbie have become outstanding men because of their loving dad. Robbie has already inherited Chucks incredible traits raising his daughter. We will always remember the charming smile Chuck always had on his face. He has definitely left an indelible impact. He will forever be in our heart. Accept my deepest condolence. 

I am so grateful to have known Mr. Romagnoli as I am one of Robbie's college friends. Chuck treated all of his children's friends as if they were his own family. Chuck and Susan have been so incredibly hospitable to me and I will treasure all of the meals and trips we shared together! I am so thankful for our time spent together and I am heartbroken to hear of his passing. Chuck was an incredible role model and father figure for his family. I can already tell that Robbie inherited that as he is also an excellent father, husband, and friend. I will continue to pray for your family during this difficult time.

 Memories of our dear friend Chuck

Joel introduced his family to the Romagnoli family after doing business together for with Chuck and his father Edo.  Our family would visit yearly  whether that was in New York, Montauk, Windermere,  or going on cruises together. Joel and Chuck weren’t just great friends; they were like brothers, Chuck was Joel’s big brother and Joel was Chuck’’s little brother. We loved visiting and Chuck and his family always treated us as part of their family.

We could talk about so many memories, but I don’t think the website could hold that much content. All of the memories were always positive, and we will never forget Chuck’s big, welcoming smile when we’d be there. The Rose kids laughed about how they teased him with his ‘New York’ accent. “We’d always make him say hotdog and water’… and then take us out on the boat!” That’s where a lot of our memories are with him – on the boat! Max and Amanda remember a time when they accidentally flipped over one of Chuck’s jet skis in Windermere . “Chuck made us swim all the way back by ourselves in the gator-infested waters…LOL!!” We also reminisced about how we’d be out on Lake Butler Chain of Lakes and the time we saw Shaquille O’neil on his dock at his Pepsi vending machine

The wonderful  memories go on and on  with Chuck, Susan, Michael, Robbie, Jimmy and Christina and  we will always remember these.   Chuck, his smile, laugh, kindness, and loving heart will be with us all forever. We will always cherish these memoirs we have. Our hearts are with the entire  Romagnoli family during this sad time. Chuck will be greatly missed, but his warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be remembered forever. With our love and deepest sympathy to the family as we remember Chuck.

There are too many memories to share.  I spent so many cherished moments with Chuck and his family as a young child, an adolescent, and finally as a grown man with a family of my own.  Chuck always had a smile on his face; he was generous and kind, and always looking to keep the good times going with friends and especially with family.  He worked hard, and he played harder.  He was a role model to me in so many ways; and his absence leaves a tremendous hole that can never be filled.  

Chuck was such a positive life force! I feel so honored to know him and to have gotten to spend some wonderful times with he and Susan and their family. He was always so generous and kind to our family and many cherished memories were possible because of that. We will miss him immensely and will never forget the kind of man he was. We wish we could be with you tomorrow,  but know that we are there in spirit and that we send all our love to the Romagnoli  family. 

Growing up, Chuck and I were always close, distance not withstanding.  We never lived near each other but that didn't stop us from having that special bond only close cousins can have.
And then, we go to St. John's together.  Thank God, because I lived with Chuck a short time when I had a little problem with my drivers license.  
If I could sum up Chuck in one word it would be GENEROUS!

Chuck was an incredible man who I was proud to call a friend of mine.  The memories I have of him are full of smiles, stories, laughter, and life advice. When visiting Robbie for the fourth of July in Windermere, FL in 2019 I told him I did not have a girlfriend. He said to me, "Hunter, what are you doing? You are not getting any younger." I still smile when thinking about that day and the great times I had with him and his family in Tuscaloosa, Windermere, and Deer Valley. He was also better at skiing at age 69 than I was at 25. There is no doubt he lived an incredible life and I hope to live a life similar to his. Chuck loved his family and it was clear they are what he cherished most in life. I have always seen him inside of Robbie, Jimmy, Mike, and Christina when spending time with them. I look forward to seeing him in them in the future. Susan and Chuck did an incredible job raising their children and it is no surprise they have turned into fantastic men and women. I know he is in heaven looking down at his friends and family. I look forward to seeing him again one day. 

I’ll never forget Chucks kindness. Whether it was times on the lake in Orlando or skiing in Utah, Chuck always made me feel welcome in his family’s  home. I am grateful to be Robbie’s and the family’s friend. Rest In Peace Chuck.

I've always introduced him as "my Uncle Chuck" though we aren't family in a traditional sense; the years and memories shared between myself and our households can only be described as that of Family. He taught me so many lessons throughout the years; both technical like boating and others that have impacted my personality and character. Chuck taught me that starting your day early was necessary to making life worth living. He would come into the room to wake me and the boys up countless times during the summer always insisting the day was wasting away. Even if we were up to all hours of the night because we were sick or out late. It of course wasn't until years later that this habit became vitally important to my health and success. 
That was just like Chuck, to teach you something with out forcing it. He was always ready to go and excited to spend time with people. Chuck will be in my heart now and always; the pain I feel at the loss of my friend and Uncle, stands as testament to the impact he has made and the legacy he has left each of us to share and pass on. Keep your faith, that though today we grieve in time we will also celebrate the blessing Chuck Romagnoli left behind.

In the late 1980's Bobby and I started taking trips to Copper Mountain, CO to go skiing, because my parents had just bought two condos in the little town of Copper Mountain.  I invited two of my friends Patricia Daugherty and Susan Craven to go with us.
Bobby would invite Chuck to join us from New York.  On one of the first trips Susan took with us, our group went to a little neighboring town to eat dinner, and Susan  sat next to Chuck, at dinner time. She told me, that was the moment she knew this was the guy she wanted to marry.
Now advancing two years ahead to 1991,  as we planned our annual trip to go skiing, Susan and Chuck started communicating with each other privately, setting up a plan to  meet ahead of everybody with the intention to explore the dating scene.  They flew out to Colorado ahead of the group, so they could have some private time.  After that trip, they were in constant communication.
Chuck planned a romantic trip for Susan to go to New York and 
shortly after that trip, they were engaged with a wedding to follow September 21, 1991.
You see, Chuck went to go do the Lord's work one day before his 30th Wedding Anniversary.  Little did we know that's what the Lord had planned for him and Susan.
You blink your eyes and it comes and goes.  The Lord Blessed Chuck with Four Children that he spoiled the Heck Out Of, and they kept him young, not to mention the two granddaughters.
We will miss you Chuck.  The trips we took to New York, and New Orleans, and the Road trip we took across country from Florida to Colorado in a motorhome.
We will be watching for your signs letting us know you are around.

One of the many memories that will always stay in my mind and heart is the trip to Italy which Barbara and I took with Susan and Chuck .   It was at this time in our lives that we felt so close to one another and became confidants.   This experience created a lasting bond forever.

My dear cousin Chuck…. So many memories, all of which are about a warm wonderful, giving ,SELFLESS Man and his adoring family. From Christmas Eve celebrations over the years, pool parties, birthday parties, and never ending stream of events that were always hosted with smiles!
It seemed your doors were constantly opened and welcoming. My mom was was fortunate enough to have been the recipient of the kindness that you and Susan showed her for so many years. She loved you and your children very much. There aren’t enough accolades for your loving spirit and generosity. The family you created with Susan - Michael, Robbie, Jimmy and Christina will always celebrate the legacy of their Dad, a truly Great Man.

Thanks a BIG BUNCH for including me in HONORING YOUR BELOVED HUSBAND; although, I wasn’t a life long friend, I felt a closeness to both you & Chuck because of the true warmth felt from both of you…you BOTH TOUCHED MY LIFE AND HEART IN A REAL WAY THAT RESONATED WITH FERVOR and I THANK THE LORD FOR IT!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Romagnoli was one of the nicest men I’ve ever met! Every time I came to the Romagnoli house to hang out with Robbie he welcomed me with open arms and always had me laughing. He was such a great father and loved by all. He will be very missed. 

Chuck, you certainly LIVED your life - to the FULLEST! Always on the go, always so social, but still very one-on-one when need be. You brought out the lively, the happy in everyone around you. You were the "solution guy", the "fix-it guy".  You gave advice, but were not pushy about it. One of the most generous people ever, with everything you had & were. You brought up 4 amazing children with lots of love & hands-on guidance. You & Susan made a beautiful partnership work seamlessly, and created lots of great memories with so many people. You will only be gone from this earth, but you will be in our hearts forever - until we all meet again. 
You will surely be missed by many, but we know you are safe in God's hands now.  Be at peace....

There are no words that can adequately express the handprint your friendship has left on my heart. All of the fond memories, a ton of belly laughs until it hurt so good, some really great red wine, annual July 4th trips to DV, a mutual love for the quietness of the ocean at Ponce, Talenti ice cream and of course cheesecake.

A giant among men in every aspect….to your friends and family you were like a giant shade tree, providing a wealth of shelter, comfort and security.  Your Earthly work is done.  May you now rest in the comfort of His perfect peace.  You have finished the race well, dear friend and brother to us all.🙏🏻
