

Roberta (Donahue) Davis, age 78, of Winter Garden, FL passed away on April 26th, 2018. She was preceded in her passing by her mother, Elizabeth (Cook) Donahue, and father, Louis Donahue, as well as her sister, Anna Belle (Donahue) Fulford. She is survived by her brother, Robert Donahue and wife Mary (Indiana); her ex-husband, Clarence Davis; her two daughters, Sharon (Davis-Jones) Joiner and husband Wesley; and Brenda Davis; one grandchild, Nancy (Jones) Hamlet and husband Edwin (Kentucky); and one great grandchild, Alexandra Hamlet; one nephew, Jon Lee Fulford; and one niece, Denise Donahue (Arizona).
Roberta Louise Donahue was born December 30, 1939 and raised in Orlando, Florida. She and the Donahue family were members of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in downtown Orlando. She graduated from Boone High School in 1957 and was married to Clarence Davis, also of Orlando and Boone High School for 40 years. She retired as a State Employee from Valencia Community College having also worked at Indian River Community College and the Orange County Media Center. She served nine years and held several positions in the Florida Association of Community Colleges (FACC). Roberta enjoyed sewing/quilting/crafts, always loved cats, and had an extensive collection of owls. She enjoyed taking pictures of people and places, making weekly visits to Fotomat. In recent years she attended the First United Methodist Church of Winter Garden, and resided at Quality Healthcare of Winter Garden, where she served as President of the Residents Council.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 7th, 2018, 3:30pm, at the First United Methodist Church of Winter Garden, 125 N. Lakeview Ave, 34787. Cremation service is entrusted to the care of Woodlawn Cemetery, Gotha. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to http://thewayhomerescue.org for cats & kittens.
