Sharon C. Hicklin, 69, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014. She was born June 2, 1945 in South Amboy, New Jersey to Eunice Bowen Campbell and Donald Herbert Campbell. Sharon is survived by her husband of 38 years, Garry Hicklin; her son, Lance E Hicklin (Elizabeth); daughters Lori J Dowling (Daniel) and Julie Futch (Jefre); 6 grandchildren Connor Futch, Delaney Futch, Danielle Dowling, Mason Dowling, Coltin Dowling and Bowen Hicklin and many beloved nieces and nephews. Sharon Hicklin cared deeply about the people in her life and spent her days smiling and laughing while being surrounded by loved ones and countless friends. Her positive energy filled every room she entered. She continually put others before herself, taking pride in seeing happiness in the faces of those she loved. Her quick sense of humor and love of a good practical joke made for unending laughs and often made her the life of the party. She enjoyed storytelling and her eyes sparkled with mischief before delivering a punchline that brought grins to the room. Sharon never shied away from hard work, dedicating herself to building a thriving day-care business with her husband. She treated her customers and workers like family and they bestowed that same compassion toward her. Her love of Jesus Christ and His word carried her through challenges and guided her during her lengthy fight against cancer. So did her resilient strength and resolve to continue to be part of the lives of her loved ones. Her life served as an example of courage and spirit.
