Shirley Louise Armstrong, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Wednesday November 5, 2014. Mrs. Armstrong was born on February 21, 1934 in Indiana, Pennsylvania to the late Ross and Edna Laney. She worked as a waitress at Chaistains Restaurant for over twenty five years. Her biggest joy in life was her family. She truly cherished family time and enjoyed every minute of it. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by husband Richard Armstrong and her twelve siblings, Lillie Mae, Thelma, Helen, Martha, Alice, Gladys, Mildred, Harrison, Betty Jane, Robert, Eugene, and Warren. She is survived by her loving children, Donald (Cathy) Armstrong, Larry (Sandy) Armstrong, Terry (Shannon) Armstrong, Sharon (Mark) Grooms, and Richard (Karen) Armstrong, nine grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday November 10, 2014 from 11:00 to 12:00 with a service to follow at 12:00 pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Gotha.
