Shirley Ironmonger Curtis, 88 of Orlando, FL passed away Jan. 28, 2012. She was born in Seaford, VA on Aug. 30, 1923 to Walter and Louise Ironmonger, who preceded her in death. Shirley was a loving wife and mother and was a member of Powers Drive Baptist Church. Shirley loved to sing for her family, her church and for others. Shirley married Hiram Curtis on Nov. 27, 1946 in Richmond, VA and he preceded her in death in 2001. Shirley is survived by her son, Walter Duane Curtis and by other family to include: Mildred Abernathy, James (Linda) Lee, Brenda Heyser, Robert C. Denton, Leon (Betty) Curtis, Jean Curtis and Glenda (Phil) Regelin.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 1:00 PM at Powers Drive Baptist Church, Orlando, FL. Memorial contributions can be made to Friends of NEFSH, 7487 S. S. R. 121, MacClenny, FL 32063 or to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Mrs. Curtis.
