Sylvia Gloria Lorelike-Joseph

Sylvia G. Lorelike Joseph a beloved family member, went home to be with the Lord on July 6, 2013 at 5:45 a.m. Mum, as we all called her was the most humble, loving and caring person ever, especially as a mother. She was a hard worker for as long as we can remember. She will be missed greatly and fondly remembered for her loving spirit especially toward her family.

Sylvia was born on February 6, 1931, in Trinidad W.I. Early in life she married Calvin Lorelike and had five children. In 1967 at age thirty-five she migrated from her native country of Trinidad W.I. to the United States where she worked as a domestic for three years for Dr. Alvin Jarrett. She would later on work at Bird S. Coler Hospital in New York for thirty-five years, during which time she assisted in raising three of her grandchildren, Kelvin, Macio and Beverly. She then retired to Orlando where she continued to travel worldwide to play mas: Nottingham Festival, Caribana, Boston, Labor Day and her favorite, Trinidad & Tobago.

Sylvia loved cooking and spending time with family and friends. She would travel annually to visit with her brothers and sisters both in Trinidad and Canada.

Her legacy of love expands into three generations. Her children:Janet Lorelike, Calvin Lorelike Jr. (Antoinette), Kelvin Anthony Lorelike, Randolph Stirling Jude Lorelike(Lauretta) and Jasmine Lorelike(deceased). Her Grandchildren: Selwyn Lorelike, Kafi Lorelike, Aeisha Pringle, Calvin Bryant, Majha Lorelike, Marqus Lorelike, Kelvin Lorelike Jr, Macio Lorelike, Beverly Ann Williams, Andy Dardaine, Nicholas Dardaine, Karen Davis, Brandi Lorelike, Randolph Lorelike, Ryan Lorelike, Ryland Lorelike-Herbert. Her Great Grandchildren: Shayna Lorelike, Shadai Lorelike, Robert Brewington, Sasha Scott, Anyah King, Zechariah Dardaine, Zoé Dardaine, Nickole Dardaine, Demari Dardaine, Nathaniel Dardaine, Karissa Davis, Emani Davis, Tristan Webster, Taylah Webster, Alexis Osgood, Daniel Osgood, Zariah Lorelike, Ajaeza Sterling,Trinity Tademy, Taniyah Tademy
