Valerie Elaine Johnston

Born on June 11, 1952, to Guy and Dorothy Woodhouse, Valerie was the only daughter among six children. She grew up alongside her five brothers: Nello (Lillian), Mike (Radonna), Guy (Lois), Larry (Diane), and Ron (Brenda) Woodhouse.

Valerie is survived by her devoted husband, Philip and her two children, Elizabeth (Dave) Branyan and Steve (Jennifer) Johnston, who will forever cherish her love, strength, and unwavering support. She also leaves behind four of her brothers and their wives, and many extended family members and friends who were touched by her warmth and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Mike and sister-in-law, Radonna.

The only thing that surpassed Valerie’s love for her husband, children, and extended family was her love for Jesus. Her deep faith guided her life, sustained her through trials, and shaped the way she cared for others. She lived with grace, humility, and a heart full of compassion—a quiet light to all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at LIFE CHURCH Assembly of God in Fruitland Park, Florida. A luncheon for family will follow the service. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida.
