Born in Ashford, Alabama, Vivian was the daughter of the late Quilla R. and Hattie Harper Layton. Vivian has lived in Orlando since 1948. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, L. Tillman Smith and her brother, Ewell Layton.
She was a homemaker, excellent cook and enjoyed spending time in her flower garden until she was no longer physically able to do so. Survivors include her daughter, Jacklyn S. Moore (Dan deceased) of Orlando; grandson, Steven Moore of Orlando; sister, Myrtle Carnahan of Orlando; brother, Felix Layton of Mary Ester, Florida; 2 step-granddaughters and 3 step-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Paula Johnson of Evans, Georgia.
The family will receive guests Wednesday evening, February 7th from 6-8 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734 followed by funeral services on Thursday, February 8th at 12:00 pm.
