Wilfred Guy Tremblay

Wilfred "Will" Guy Tremblay, of Orlando, Florida passed away peacefully around family at his home in the Brookdale Senior Living facility on December 16, 2024. Wilfred was born on September 13th, 1933, to his loving parents, Maria and Thomas Tremblay in Middlebury, Vermont. Wilfred was raised on a family farm with his nine siblings. As the youngest boy of his big family, Wilfred enjoyed swimming in the Mad River and learning how to be helpful on the farm, such as milking their cows.

Upon graduating from high school, on August 20th, 1950, Wilfred enlisted into the Air Force. He served during the Korean and Vietnam War as an Aircraft Mechanic. He kept the boys flying and was affectionately nicknamed "little Joe" by his peers. Wilfred was also a very dedicated and loving father. Through his admirable Air Force career, he brough his family the pleasure of living in many exciting and beautiful places, Holland and Germany being the family favorites. After 22 years of dedicated and honorable service, he retired with the rank of Master Sergeant on December 31st., 1972.

After Air Force retirement, Wilfred settled down in Vermont with his family. Wilfred shortly worked for a plumbing company, then became an employee for K-Mart as a Salesman in the Electronic department. He was well-loved at his store and eventually became the Department Manager. He moved with the job to Lewiston, Maine where he met his second wife. After decades of hard work, he retired from K-Mart and enjoyed his free time. Wilfred loved the simple joys in life, including being a caring and responsible pet owner. His favorite thing to do in retirement was spending time at home watching TV with his wife and sweet dog, Penny. After the passing of his wife, he came to Orlando to peacefully live out the rest of his days.

Wilfred's service will be at The Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 U.S. Highway 1, North Mims, Florida 32754, on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 12:30. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Veterans Wounded Warrior Project.
