

RUCHALA, Clara L. – Age 85, of Flint, died Monday, July 23, 2012 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Mrs. Ruchala was born June 7, 1927 at home in Flint the daughter of Julius and Thelma Nagy. She was a very active member of the Hungarian United Church of Christ, with the Consistory, Women’s Guild, Choir and the church bowling team until she was 80 years old. Clara worked as an Accountant for Arrand Finance Company and L.J. Tadrick Tax Company as a Tax Preparer. Clara enjoyed life to its fullest. She laughed a lot, loved the plays her grandsons put on for her, enjoyed the company of her neighbors and made friends very easily. On August 24, 1946 she was united in marriage to Stanley Ruchala and he preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughter, Linda (Paul) Peterson; grandsons, Grant Arnold and fiancée Angie Morris, Cort Arnold; great grandsons, Stanley and Vincent Arnold; sisters and brothers, Carol (Bo) Leser, John (Laureen) Nagy, Barbara (Edd) Loomis, Robert Nagy, Julius (Percy) Nagy; god daughter, Nancy Kida; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mrs. Ruchala was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Ruchala, brothers and sisters, Chuck Nagy, Jerry Nagy, Jean Koch, Eleanor Weisel, Giz Kida, Edith Kazmier, Margie Nagy, Julius Nagy, and her parents Julius and Thelma Nagy. Friends may visit the family from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the funeral home. Pastor Jim James will officiate. Burial will follow at Meadowview Cemetery, Davison, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
