THIEL, Duane, age 84, of Burton, died Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held 2 pm Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at the Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc. Interment at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday & Tuesday 3 pm to 8 pm. Duane was born on March 31, 1927 in Whigville, son of the late Anthony and Grace (Ives) Thiel. He had retired from McDonald’s Dairy Co. as a mechanic. Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 2005. Duane is survived by 4 children, Rhonda Hooker, Charles (Kim) Thiel, Tony (Sarah) Thiel, and Mike (Debbie) Thiel. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Russ (Betty) Thiel and 1 sister-in-law Bonnie (Jake) Roy.
