

Dwight accepted Christ at an early age, attending and received baptism at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Flint Beecher High School where he was a member of the varsity wrestling team and varsity baseball team, earning his red and white varsity letter. On Tuesday, August 24, 2021 he transitioned into eternal life.
Upon graduation from high school at age 17 years, Mr. Dwight Anthony Miller joined the United States Army, where he studied and graduated USAMMCS Class of 1979. Dwight then went on to serve and flourish in the field of Special Forces (Green Beret), testing troubleshoot and repair anti-tank missile guidance system/Night Vision. Fast Forward Front Line Support Combat Units maintaining 70% combat ready at all time. Dwight's tour of duty took him to many places within the USA and overseas in foreign lands; To include US Invasion of Grenada (Operation Urgent Fury), Invasion of Panama (Operation Just Cause), Somalia (Battle of Mogadishu/Black Hawk Down), Persian Gulf (Iran-Iraq Conflict), and Saudi Arabia (Desert Storm/Shield) where he fought to protect the rights and freedom of others. Upon completion of over 17 years of active duty, Dwight received an Honorable Discharge (DD214), from the United States Army. As a US Army Disabled Combat Veteran, Dwight continued to battle with severe PTSD.
Mr. Dwight Anthony Miller loved his children and to live life. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, cooking, music, gambling, playing basketball, and training animals. He was always ready to teach and encourage those that needed help. Dwight was always full of lighthearted fun, whether it was hanging enough Christmas lights to light up the neighborhood, playing and coaching softball, tossing the kids in the air just to hear them laugh as he smiled, or having a fun day with water balloons and water soakers.
Mr. Dwight Anthony Miller leaves to cherish his memory: one daughter Keioffa (Miller)Harris of Jacksonville, Fl ; three sons: D'Mon Miller of Flint, MI, Jeffery Miller of Flint, MI, Da'Vincent Miller of California; stepdaughter, Anchina Stillwell of Flint, MI; Ex-wife Katrina (Tina) Bolton; four brothers: Kenneth Miller of Jonesboro, GA, Larry (Shan) Miller of Flint, MI, Gregory Miller of Flint, MI, and William Miller of Flint, MI; one sister, Yoalonda (Terence) Thompson of Stockbridge, GA; and grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mr. Dwight Anthony Miller was preceded in death by: grandparents, Jeff and Willie Bernice (McMorris) Miller; stepdad, Walter "Cecil" Gatewood; sister, Angela Denise Miller; Baby Thompson; aunts: Jonetta
(Floyd) Franklin, Merle Cobb, and Cenoria Miller.
