Eugene C. Hyde Jr.

HYDE, Eugene Carl, Jr., age 68, of Flint, died Thursday, March 29, 2012. A Memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, April 7, 2012 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Pastor Bob Hopkins officiating. Inurnment at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Following services a luncheon will be held at Eugene’s childhood home located at 4356 S. Vassar Road in Burton. Eugene was born on July 26, 1943 in Burton, Michigan son of the late Eugene C. Sr., and Gladys M. (Nicklas) Hyde. He had graduated from the Flint School of the Deaf, and was the president of the Flint Arrowhead chapter of National Association for Physically Handicapped. He enjoyed fishing, bingo and bowling. Eugene is survived by a brother Donald (Charlotte) Hyde, a sister Violet Conger, loving companion Alma Hayden, five nieces & nephews: Jerry (Kathy) Conger, Valerie Smith, Jeff (Regina) Hyde, Jody (Gordon) Bennett and Mark (Vicki) Hyde. Also survived by several great, and great great, nieces and nephews as well as dear friend Larry Hayden. In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Hyde, brother Clyde Hyde, and niece Debra K. Conger.
