

Frances J. Hibbard, age 85, passed away on July 30, 2016. Frances was born on June 18, 1931 in Flint to parents Francis and Rose (Kalemba) Gwizdz. She graduated from All Saints Catholic High School, and worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital for 17 years. Frances was a member at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Blue Army. Frances loved her lottery scratch-offs, playing bingo, knitting washcloths, dancing, and watching the Detroit Tigers. Frances is survived by her children: Michael Hibbard, Kenneth Hibbard, Francine (Jerry) Milne, and Anne Marie (Jim) Block; grandchildren: Tony (Kayla) Watson, Elizabeth (Jason) Shreeve, Lauren Block, Danielle (Mike) Wozniak, Abby (Mac) Milne, and John Block; great grandsons: Dylan Watson, Logan Watson, and Liam Shreeve; sister, Janet Hyde; many nieces and nephews; and her dog, George. She was preceded in death by both parents; her husband, Clifford Hibbard on October 11, 2000; sisters: Anna (Frank) Mitoraj, Mary (Eddie) Valkoun, Hedy (Bill) Ruth, Irene (Bob) Artrip; brother-in-law, Joseph Hyde; and her dog, Brandy. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (5191 Richfield Rd., Flint). Father Roy Horning celebrating. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016 from 12-3pm and 5-8pm with a Rosary Service being prayed at 7pm at Brown Funeral Home (1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc), and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at church, beginning at 10am. Interment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Frances’ family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Memory Care and Medical Team hospice for providing care for their mom.
