BROOKS, George A., age 65, of Florida, formerly of Flint, passed way in Florida. Funeral services will be 1:00PM Friday, December 18, 2015 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc. Burial to follow Service at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be 11AM-1PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
George was born September 14, 1950 in Flint the son of the late Ernest Brooks Sr. and Dolores Ketterer. He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam War. George was employed by General Motors and A.C. Delphi until his retirement. He also played Rugby for the Flint Rogues. George will be remembered for his enthusiasm for life and making every day an adventure.
Surviving are his wife, Pat; daughter, Deanna Grignani and husband, Ben of Cape Coral, FL; three grandchildren, Kirstie, Mason and Elijah Grignani; brother, Bud Brooks and wife, Sandy; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Linda Lockhart and husband, Virgil; and his beloved dog, Beaner.
