A proud veteran, Harold honorably served in the United States Army, embodying discipline, strength, and dedication throughout his life. After his service, he continued to lead with quiet integrity and compassion, touching countless lives in big and small ways.
He was a man constantly in motion—riding his bicycle for miles, going on long walks and runs, and finding pure joy in every sport. Whether it was football, baseball, or basketball, Harold loved the game, but loved watching his grandchildren play even more. He never missed a sporting event, always present with a warm smile and words of encouragement from the sidelines.
Thoughtful to his core, he was known for leaving handwritten notes—birthday wishes, uplifting messages, or simple reminders that someone was loved. Balloons, cards, and small acts of kindness were his way of making others feel seen and cherished. He put others above himself without hesitation, and the impact of his generosity will live on through his family.
He found deep pride in his daughter, Denise, never missing a chance to watch her coach or to celebrate her accomplishments—especially her graduation from both nursing school and barber school. She was one of his greatest joys, and he never missed an opportunity to say so.
Harold is survived by his children Harold (Regina), Denise (Jennifer), Tyina (Terrence) and Jessica; grandchildren Desirae, Jourdin, James, Ashley, Swavonte, Kobe, Tyquesha, Christian, and Jayden; and great-grandchildren Julius, Myson and Messiah.
Harold was preceded in death by many loving family members.
Harold was our encourager, our protector, and our proudest supporter. His love will be carried in our hearts forever.
