Howard Lawrence Matties

Howard worked as a materials manager in the automotive field. In his younger years, he dedicated his service by serving in the United States Army. Howard married the love of his life, Karen, and they cherished over sixty years together. Howard was loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed.

Howard leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Karen, sons Howard (Sheryl) Matties II and Martin (Lori) Matties, grandchildren Rachel Susan (Bill) Paulson, Heather Elise Matties, Lincoln Daniel Matties, great-grandchild Easton John Paulson and siblings Lillie B. Matties and Dudley Matties.

Howard was preceded in death by his granddaughter Natalie Matties, siblings Laureen Jock, Helen Cook, Arthur Matties Jr., Ralph Matties, Alberta Kenny, Charles Matties, Robert Matties, Ernest Matties, Johanna Beasley, Richard Matties and Burrell Matties

A memorial visitation for Howard will be held at Hill Funeral Home - 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm and followed by a memorial service at 5:00 pm.
