James S. Sheaffer

SHEAFFER, James S. – of Grand Blanc, age 73, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. James was born August 16, 1941 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He attended Franklin & Marshall College and began his career in urban development. James had a passion for starting new business and development, he considered that his “risk taking”. He married his wife on May 11, 1968 at St. Patricks Cathedral in Harrisburg, PA. They enjoyed being involved in the church, going out to dinner, and dancing. James was also involved with Rotary Club and many other organizations in the Flint area. He was preceded in death by his parents, Singleton and Patricia Sheaffer. James is survived by his wife, Patricia; his children, Bridget Curtis, James Sheaffer, Sarah Nagy and son-in-law Jeff Nagy; his grandchildren, Cassidy Curtis, Chase Curtis, Chance Curtis, Calvin Curtis, Christopher Curtis, and Lucas Nagy; his siblings, Linda Nutter, Mary Downing, Thomas Sheaffer, and David Sheaffer; and his faithful companion, Merlin. Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, MI with Fr. Gary Koenigsknecht officiating.
