Joan Mae Ireland

IRELAND, Joan Mae – Age 74, of Grand Blanc, died Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at her home with her family by her side. Mrs. Ireland was born May 29, 1939 in Mayville, Michigan the daughter of LaVern and Rosetta Tewksbury. Joan enjoyed painting, sewing, quilting and was very artistic. She enjoyed spending time with her Dye High Card Club friends. For 20 years Joan worked as a customer service representative for Chase Bank. On April 4, 1959 Joan Tewksbury married Fred Ireland and he survives her. Also surviving are daughters, Cynthia Kantar, Sandra (Shane) Tiedeman, Susan (Michael) Potter, Elizabeth (Russell) Elias; 8 grandchildren; 5 brothers and sisters; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ireland was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Michael Kantar. Friends may visit the family from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday November 4, 2013 at the funeral home. Pastor Donald Michael will officiate.
