

John T. Stevenson passed into the arms of the Lord Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Scripture Service beginning at 6:00PM, at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00PM, Monday, March 10, 2014 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5191 Richfield Rd., Flint. Visitation will take place at 11:00AM until start of service. Military Honors and Internment will take place immediately following Mass at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Flint. John was born August 3rd, 1922, to John and Della (Rhoads) Stevenson in Dunlo, PA. He married Marlene Crum, his wife 70 years on February 19th 1944 in Flint. Mr. Stevenson was employed by the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company as a building service engineer, and retired at 64 after 47 years of service. He was also an active church member at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. John always had a helping hand – he loved to laugh, talk, and travel. He was a man of integrity, honesty, and perseverance. He is survived by his loving wife, Marlene; children: Mary Ann McKay, John “Bill” Stevenson, Kathleen (Paul) Gordon, Lois (Kevin) Lawrence, Diana (Vaughn) Smith, Theresa (Larry) Muxlow, James (Connie) Stevenson, Jacquelyn (Mike) Murphy, and Patricia Fries and (Jeff Quinn); 24 grandchildren Lisa (Mark) , Angela (Bob), Kevin (Patty), Kent, Kerry, Elora, Amy (Tim), Bryan, Kris (Jenni), Russell, Joylnn (Scott), Shannon, Chad, Jessica, Kristin (Ramon), Zackary, Troy, Jason (Jamie), Nathan, Kayla, Mallory, Emily, Andrea, Nick ; 14 great-grandchildren Lindsey, Jacob, Kama, Caleb, Mya, Madison, Aidan, Nolan, Dezrick, Jayden, Dominic, Faith, Connor, Carson.
