

Kathryn Ellen Spicer, 55, went home to be with The Lord on October 4, 2013 after a short illness. She was born December 30, 1957 to the late Robert Bruce Dawson and Marion Elizabeth Dawson (Smith). She grew up in Port Huron, Mi., graduated Class of 1976 from Port Huron Northern High School. She attended
Central Bible College in Springfield Mo. and later Mott College in Flint Mi. She wed Stephen Duane Spicer on November 17th, 1979 and was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She is survived by her loving husband of 33 yrs., a daughter Beth Spicer, a son Jake Spicer both of Flint, Mi., a loving sister Karen (Edward) Stephens and a caring brother Erik Dawson both of Port Huron, Mi. Sister-in-Law JoAnn Zack of Flint, Mi. Marlene Anel of Rock Ford, Mi and Brother-in-laws Mark Spicer, Ken (Susie) Spicer and Father-in-law Mr. Duane Spicer, dear friends Charlene and Richard Meyers and Cheryl Gross and Sharon Ecklebecker of Flint, Mi., and her beloved cats Socxs and Chloe. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Marion Dawson and beloved grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Allen and Ethyl Smith and Mother-in-law Mrs. Lois Spicer
She was a past member of the Port Huron Assembly of God in Port Huron and attended Riverside Tabernacle Flint, Mi. where she had many friends and worshiped regularly.
She loved her family and always put them first. A soft spoken, shy person who loved to read, clip coupons, play her computer games and enjoyed television and movies. Aside from her love of God, her love of friends and family, she enjoyed concerts at the Central Church of the Nazarene. She had a contagious smile a great sense of humor and will be forever remembered for her meekness, kindness, generosity and unconditional love for everyone around her. Friends may visit the family from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. The Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the funeral home.
