I was a friend, college classmate and fraternity brother of Ken LaSalle at Bryant college in Providence RI in the 1960's. He was an exceptional person in so many ways. He was a role model for me that became very influencial over the years both personally and professionally. I last saw him at our Bryant Alumni in 1986 and today he popped into my mind and I looked up his contact and called and his wife Kathleen told me he had just passed away last week. I think he was thinking about me and wanted me to call her to help her in this difficult time. I talked to Kathleen for sometime and she is a wonderful person who loved Ken and took care of him to the end. Thank you, Rick John,

Kathleen,  It was refreshing to see Ken's eyes light up when you came to Autumn Ridge each afternoon.  We cherish the coffee/treat times we had with you, Ken, John Perry and ourselves.  He always brought a smile to us when he was dancing.  May you continue in your confidence that God is in control.

Although no words however kind, can ease your loss, may it bring you a bit of comfort to know that others care.

To Ken's family - Ken was a very inportant part of my life during my high school years in Cumberland, R I - he had so many friends and was one of the most popular students in our small graduating class - I will always treasure our time together and remember his great laugh.  Although Ken moved to other states and did not attend any of our class reunions, we always thought of him and all the memorable experiences we  shared.  It is with great sorrow that I learned that he has left his earthly home.  My sincere sympathy on the loss of this wonderful human being.

My wife Kathleen and I will keep Ken in our thoughts and prayers.
 I regret that over the years we lost track of each other. But, Ken and I shared a bedroom when I lived with him and his parents after my parents died. We experienced our high school years together and I will always remember him fondly.

I am Matthew Collins, a distant relative in Florida. I met Ken when I was very young and remember having a grand time with him and my sister Heather. Although I did not know him through the years, I know his love and compasion have touched many.

We lost a good man on 11/12/10. We saw him take his last breath. A father, husband, grandfather, friend, co-worker, mentor, teacher, veteran and man of life. He came to our family when my mother needed him most. He made her world light up and revived a love that I thought had died. While we only had him  a few short years,he made our lives that much better.
 
To Brad, Chris and Elizabeth, we say thank you for allowing your father to be a large part of our lives and our mother's. We will always be here for you now and forever.

From Nick and Ethan: Grandpa, Everyone has their time, but why did yours come so soon? There are so many people in the world, why did God pick you? Dad says things like this will make us stronger, but how can that be? We don't understand this it feels like a dream, but we feel you watching over us and know someday we will see you again. 

I would like to say that I will never forget our talks next to the fire at the cabin. You always gave me great advice, wisdom, and love. Now that you are up in heaven maybe you can help Notre Dame win a game!! HA! HA! You were one of the smartest men I knew. I will always remember MY MAN KEN! 

Lastly I want people to remember that when you hear those three rifle volleys and the first notes of taps on Tuesday, that it is a signal to the man upstairs that someone special is on the way, a veteran named Kenneth John LaSalle.
