COOPER, Leo Earl – Age 78, of Burton, died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Hurley Medical Center. Mr. Cooper was born January 19, 1934 in Flint the son of Clayton and Catherine Marie (Dwyer) Cooper. Leo worked for many years as a Sheriff’s Deputy for Genesee County and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He also worked for Wal Mart for many years. For the last number of years Leo has been a wonderful caregiver for his wife Helen. Surviving are his wife Helen, daughters, Dee (Brad) Knack, Kim (Bill) Fowler, step-children, Jim, Judy, Jill and Jan, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Marilyn Wright. Friends may visit the family from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Pastor Sarah LaRose Nettell will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery.
