Mr. Marshall Robert McFarland

McFarland, Marshall Robert “Bob” – age 84, passed away on August 21, 2017 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 10:30 AM with one hour of visitation prior to Mass at Holy Family Catholic Church – 11804 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan with Monsignor Jerry Vincke celebrating. Marshall was born on March 15, 1933 in Milford, Michigan to the late Marshall and Doris McFarland. Marshall proudly served his country during the Korean War. In 1956, he married the love of his life Mary DeYonker and celebrated 61 years of marriage this past June. Together they raised five children. Marshall worked for many years as a Buyer in the Grocery industry. Besides work, Marshall enjoyed golf, cards, and the casino. He frequented the The Big Boy in Grand Blanc for several years, making many friends along the way. Marshall is survived by his loving wife, Mary; children: Kevin McFarland, Colleen (Larry) Diemer, Brian (Kristin) McFarland, Shawn McFarland, Shannon (Dave) Marttila; grandchildren: Robert (Nicole) Diemer, Eric Diemer, Brendan Marttila, Cassidy McFarland, and Logan McFarland.
