She grew up in Plymouth, MI, where she met the love of her life, Hal Anderson. After graduating in 1959 from Bentley High School, Pat and Hal were married on June 25, 1960, embarking on a life filled with devotion, joy, and shared adventures. These adventures included living in Needles CA, Grand Blanc MI, and Fort Walton Beach FL before landing in Brighton MI for almost 20 years. After a brief time in Tiptonville TN, Pat and Hal moved to Gladwin MI before they eventually returned to Grand Blanc, MI.
Patricia and Hal shared simple joys that became treasured traditions. They enjoyed fishing together on their boat, the Tri Ander, taking car trips around Lake Superior—often exploring the backroads for long country drives—and working outdoors, devoting countless hours to landscaping and planting flowers. Pat loved to dance and could usually be seen doing the jive with Hal at wedding receptions and other family gatherings.
She served her community as a bookkeeper for Mundy Township for 10 years, bringing care and reliability to her work. A devoted homemaker, she was unwavering in her support of her husband and their two sons. Whether delivering meals during long days at swim meets and practices or attending sporting events alongside Hal, she demonstrated in countless practical ways the loyal presence that defined her life.
In her later years, Patricia devoted herself to the care of family members in their time of need—first her father, Willie Blackburn, and later her mother, Linell. Her devotion to family was evident in her selfless care for others, a hallmark of her life.
Memorial visitation will be held at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan, on April 16, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 12:30 p.m.
