Robert F. Schumann – Age 89, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at his home. Mr. Schumann was born August 26, 1925 in Oak Park, Illinois the son of Arthur and Estell Schumann. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Schumann served his country during W.W.II with the Army Air Corp. Robert’s career spanned from Missionary work in South America to teaching in the Flint Public Schools. In 1950 he married Palmer Alling and she survives him. Also surviving are children, Betsy (James) Morath, Thomas Schumann, Robert (Kathy) Schumann Jr.; grandchildren, Zachary, Amanda, Kelsey, David, Rebecca, Sydney, Morgan, Rachael, Stephanie, Kelley; 9 great grandchildren. Mr. Schumann was preceded in death by his brother Arthur Schumann. As were his wishes cremation has taken place.
