Ronald Alan Burwell

BURWELL, Ronald Alan, age 63, of Flushing, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at home. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Sunday, May 10, 2015 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 1922 Iowa Ave., Flint. Fr. Jay Gantz officiating. Visitation will be 1:00PM Sunday until time of service at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the family.

Ron was born April 9, 1952 in Flint the son of Norbert Ronald Burwell and Barbara Marie Bodary. He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Littlerock and USS Independence. Ron married Louise Ann (LouAnn) Malosh on October 23, 1982 in Flint. He was employed by General Motors as a lineman until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of VFW Post #2409 in Otter Lake and a proud member of the Spirit Riders, Flint.

Surviving are his wife of 32 years, LouAnn of Flushing; children, Aaron Charles Burwell (Misty) of Flint, Sarah Louise Burwell (Eric) of Phoenix, AZ, 5 grandchildren, Isaiah, Skylynn, Noah, Lilly, Brenton; father, Norbert Burwell (Leone) of Flushing; sister, Sally Lahde of Owosso; brother, Sam Burwell (Lisa) of Corunna; sisters-in-law, Penny Owens (Jerry), Robin McCarthy (Mac), June Sage (Wade), Mary Sullivan, Donna Shannon (Rob); several nieces, nephews and loving friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Burwell.
