

Sally was born on March 23, 1935 in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Edward and Lorraine (Schulte) Schlereth. She graduated from Rochester High School in 1953, and later Michigan State University in 1957. She met Fritz Bach, her beloved husband of sixty-five years, at the Martin Luther Chapel on the campus of MSU and they were married at St. John’s Rochester on September 6, 1958.
They have both been devoted members of Faith Lutheran Church in Grand Blanc since 1964. Sally cherished the Lord, her family and a life of service. Her unwavering commitment extended to various roles in the church, where her kindness touched many lives. She also found joy in sewing, quilting, gardening, cooking and baking. Sally was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
Memories of Sally live on through her dear husband Fritz Bach; children: Beth (Michael) Faulkner, Karen (Dean) Bentley, Dave (Sheila) Bach, Paul (Tracie) Bach, and Jim (Paulette) Bach; grandchildren: Kristen Bentley and fiancée Jon Neuenfeldt, Bryan and Abby Faulkner, Dana and Mike Katz, Bailey and Kevin Warren, Ian Bach and fiancée Amber Smigiel, Hannah Bach and fiancée David Starkey, Carl, Ethan, Brendan, Luke, Liam and Eva Bach; and great-grandchildren: Annie and Mary Faulkner.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or Faith Lutheran Church Music Program.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 9:30am-11am with a funeral service at 11am at Faith Lutheran Church - 12534 Holly Rd, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Sally will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 11am.
