Sally Lee (Rasch) Jenkins passed away at her home May 18, 2017 surrounded by her Family as well as her four legged Family member Eddie, who never left her side. Sally was born to George and Dorothy (Mousseau) Rasch on May 17, 1933. In 1951 she graduated from Flint Tech. Sally met the Love of her Life, (R) Leo Jenkins and they were married August 16, 1952. They had three children together. Sally spent many years being a Stay at Home Mom (which, as everyone knows, entails too many Job Titles to list), and then went to work at Sears. She spent 24 years there before retiring.
Sally loved Flower Arrangement, planting flowers in her beautiful yards, gardening and canning. She also loved shopping with her sister Nancy, Family gatherings, of all kinds: picnics, vacations – anything that allowed her to spend time with her Family. She and Leo enjoyed many happy times together attending the activities of their children and grandchildren. To name just a few: 4H, Band, Basketball, Choir, Hockey, Lacrosse and Tennis. And Sally enjoyed so very much planning Holiday gatherings, and of course the parties themselves. These are only some of the many highlights of her lifetime with Leo, their children, grandchildren and their great granddaughters. She and Leo had a life filled with love and happiness.
Sally leaves behind with memories too many to count, her husband of nearly 65 years, Leo. Son Mark and Kelly Jenkins, their daughter Heidi and Todd Lienemann. Daughter Jill Moore-Jenkins, her children and granddaughter, Trevor and Angela Moore and their daughter Skylar, Brent Moore and Meggan Freeland, Carly and Chris Johnson. Son Matt Jenkins, his children and granddaughters Nick and Tera Jenkins and their daughter Hailey, Kelsey and Pat Shepse and their daughter Lacy. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews filled with wonderful memories of their time spent with her.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Jerry Harburn, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dale and Florence Jenkins as well as her very special aunt, Frances King.
The Family wishes to extend a special ‘Thank You’ to Joni Histope for the love and care you gave to Sally.
There will be a Memorial Gathering on August 12, 2017, 11am – 5pm. The location is: St. John Vianney Church, 2415 Bagley Street, Flint, Michigan.
