
HOGAN, Sharron Marie, age 74, of Grand Blanc, went into the arms of Jesus on Monday, September 15, 2014. Funeral Services will be 11:00AM Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. The Rev. Dean Dumbrille will officiate. Burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be 4-8PM Friday and 10:30AM Saturday until time of service at the funeral home. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hurley Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Sharron was born October 16, 1939 in Davison, the daughter of Warren Carl and Edna Margaret (Davis) Peters. She graduated from Mott Community College with a degree in Nursing. After graduation, Sharron was employed by Flint Osteopathic Hospital, McLaren Hospital and lastly, Hurley Hospital until her retirement. She was a dedicated nurse, specifically devoted to neonatal care and was responsible for neonatal transport also.
In her free time, Sharron was an accomplished seamstress and an avid tennis player. She created a line of tennis clothing, tagging each item with her signature AVID. Sharron also enjoyed the art of cross-stitch, which was humbly displayed in her home. She was a member of Flint Tennis Club Clay Courts and a social member of Flint Golf Club.
Surviving are her daughter, Shari Nash of Grand Blanc; two sons, Dr. James Paul Polk of Washington, D.C., Clarence Paul Polk “Buddy” of Grand Junction, CO; five grandchildren, Arrin Rae Nash, Austin Robert Nash, Devin Polk, Bryce Polk and Cailin Polk; great-grandson, Sebastian Benedict; three sisters, Ardis Stewart of Fenton, Barbara Eckert (Charles) of Flint, Berneice Thomas (Victor) of Tampa.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Paul Polk in 2005; second husband, Arthur Robert Hogan in 2011 and her parents, Warren and Edna Peters.
