Shirley Ann Grindle, beloved mother and adored grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2021. Preceded in death by her husband Frederick and parents Filomena and John Sdao. Surviving are her son Jason (Teresa) Grindle, step children Nancy Nekoranec and Mike (Valerie) Grindle, Grandchildren Lily Grindle, Ben Grindle, Jacob (Jessica) Nekoranec, Patrick (De Andree) Nekoranec, Grant (Kendra)Nekoranec, Scott (Pela) Grindle, Great Grandchildren Grady, Kennedy, Camden, and Yonten; and significant other, Don Horne. Further survived by her sisters Margaret (Doug) Gray, Sharon Malane, Judy (Jeff) Gardner, John (Dawn) Sdao and many nieces and nephews. Shirley was born to John and Filomena on September 12, 1949. She was adored by all who knew her and valued spending time with those she loved the most. Whether it was shopping with her friends and sisters, or going on grand adventures with her grandkids. She will be greatly missed by all.
The viewing will be held on Monday, November 22nd from 5-8pm and Tuesday, November 23rd from 10:00-11:30am at Hill Funeral Home-11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, MI. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 23rd at 11:30 at Hill Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her grandson Benjamin Grindle for his continued care while battling Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
