Steve proudly served in the United States Army for four and a half years. After his military service, he pursued a career as a semi-truck driver traveling and viewing the country through his windshield for more than 30 years.
He was married for 35 years to his loving wife, Vicki, and cherished spending time with his grandchildren, attending as many ball games as he could. Steve found joy in simple pleasures, such as laughing at silly jokes and playing with his grandkids. His proudest moments were when his family was gathered around together.
He hoped that others learned from him to be themselves and to be kind to everyone. His favorite songs included "Waiting for a Girl Like You" by Foreigner but he had a deep appreciation for many artists including Fleetwood Mac and The Beatles. His favorite past times were driving, camping, and traveling. Above all, he loved his wife and grandchildren dearly.
Steve wishes to be remembered as a good husband, dad, and grandpa. His life was a testament to kindness, love, and dedication to his family.
Steve is survived by his loving wife, Vicki; children Andrea(Lee) Furister, Erica (Josh) Wright and Ryan (Kerri) Woggermon; grandchildren Charlie, Cheyenne, Savanna and Matthew Furister, Kenny and Kaytlynn Wright, and Rylyn Woggermon; and siblings Gene (Pat) Bannon, James (Kaye) Bannon, Erin Smith and Brad (Pam) Bannon.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents Raymond Bannon and Mary (Bannon) Lange.
