NEWLAND, William R. – age 68 passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017 in Owosso, Michigan. A memorial service will be held at 4 PM on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home – 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan with two hours of visitation prior to the service. William was a proud graduate of Kearsley High School. He was a man of many talents, but he will be remembered most for his ability with computers and great sense of humor. He loved to tell jokes! William traveled across the country as a truck driver for over 25 years. He was a wonderful man that will be missed by all who knew him. William is survived by his wife, Karolyn; children: Cheryl (Mitch) Sharlow, Michelle (Mark) Schoenfield, Krissy (Kelly Harmer) McGuire, William Newland; grandchildren: Ryan, Sinjin, Logan, Jaylen, Jenna, Phoenix; siblings: James, Jack, Mike, Sue, Sally, and Edie. William was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Shirley Newland; and brother, Bob. Arrangements under the direction of Brown Funeral Home, Grand Blanc, MI.
