Alex Billy Valdez

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Graveside services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.

He worked at Orchard Mesa True Value Hardware Store.

Survivors include his wife, Tommie Farley; one son, Jade Maldonado of Grand Junction; two daughters, Maura Hefner of, Texas, and Sarah Bunger of Dover, Delaware; five brothers, Ralph Crespin of Idaho, Sonny Eagle-Valdez and Adrian Valdez, both of Grand Junction, Chris Valdez and Leo Valdez, both of California; nine sisters, Cora Santiago and Maryann Mendoza, both of California, Carol Esqueda of Denver, Jody Dores, Sharon Moreno, Rose Washpun, Bobbie Bueno, Kristi Valdez, and Jessica Valdez, all of Grand Junction; and eight grandchildren, Ayana, Joshua, Arizona, Xander, Adalyn, Tuck, Maryah, and Jayden.

After the graveside service, family and friends are encouraged to bring a covered dish or drinks and join the family for a reception in honor of Alex. The location of this event will be announced as soon as possible.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in honor of Alex to help with final expenses. Donations can be made directly to Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
