Dr. Art Kuersten began his journey on May 15, 1945. His mother Elsie Jellis and father Arthur Charles Kuersten Sr raised him in San Francisco CA. At a young age he was introduced to the ocean and traveling which meant both became an enjoyable lifelong pursuit.
After high school he worked in the grocery industry for 9 years. While working his way up to management he severely injured his back. After trying many treatments he agreed to see the family Doctor of Chiropractic. His health and back improved and he found what would become his passion for helping mankind. That introduction changed his life forever!
Art was a generous loving father to Heidi Kuersten Scotting and Timothy Lane Salkeld as well as an amazing husband to Linda Louise Litsey and father to her children Leticia Hackler Sharp and Larissa Litsey Hanson. He was able to influence his 6 grandchildren Jeremy, Ayla and Hannah Lane; Haakon and Asa Hanson; and Isabela Sharp with his charismatic energy and his playful practical joking nature.
Art was a friend to many with a heart big enough for any and all to fit. His warm hugs, smiles and laughter will always be remembered.
On Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the age of 70, Art began another journey. We love you, will miss you, and as you would say, “bye for now”.
