April 15, 1937 - January 17, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and Nana, who peacefully left this world. Her life was a testament to love, dedication, and joy.
Devoted wife of Jim for an incredible 65 years, she built a life filled with love and shared countless memories with their four children - one son and three daughters. Her legacy extends through 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, each of whom she cherished dearly.
Barbara was a pillar of strength and compassion, touching the lives of many through her unwavering commitment to volunteering at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fruita, CO. Her passion for working with the Youth Group was a testament to her nurturing spirit and deep faith.
A former Title 1 teachers' aide, she dedicated herself to education and uplifting others. Her career in retail was marked by her kindness and warm demeanor, leaving a lasting impact on those she served, especially at the VA Hospital.
One of her greatest sources of pride was her family. She beamed with joy at the accomplishments of her children, finding immense satisfaction in their successes. Her love knew no bounds, and her legacy lives on through the close-knit family she leaves behind.
Barbara had a zest for life that was evident in her love for baking, bowling, and her undying loyalty to the Denver Broncos. A devoted sports enthusiast, she was a season ticket holder for the Grand Junction Rockies farm team, creating cherished memories at the ballpark with family and friends.
As we say our goodbyes, let us remember the laughter, the warmth, and the love she brought into our lives. Though she may no longer be with us physically, her spirit and the beautiful memories we shared will forever be etched in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Barbara.
A Mass to celebrate her life will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fruita, CO, on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 2:00pm.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
