Betty and her family moved to Denver when she was a young child and she spent her formative years there. She married the love of her life, Roy Gardner, on June 3rd, 1946 in Denver. She and Roy moved to Grand Junction in 1947.
The other love of her life, her son Rex, came along in 1963 and completed their family. Betty and Roy moved to Colorado Springs to be nearer their son and his family in 2003. She loved spending time with her grand kids, Quin and Reilly, and loved seeing what they were up to.
She is survived by her son Rex, his wife Suzy (Hunt), and grand children Quin and Reilly. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association would be greatly appreciated. Her burial service will be held at St Matthews Episcopal in Grand Junction on Wednesday, September 12th at 1pm.
